Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 to open with Gaurav Gupta

The biggest and the most awaited fashion show – The Lakme Fashion Week is all set to slay it from 30th January to 3rd February 2019.

The show is scheduled to open with designer Gaurav Gupta showcasing his collection titled ‘The ‘UN’folding’ at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai on 29th January. He has incorporated a blend of hand woven fabrics alongwith his of his signature gravity-defying pattern-making.

His collection will include origami foldings and fluid-structural construction like always in addition to a lot of new stuff like embellishments, textiles, and highlights. For the first time the designer has decided to incorporate Lucknawi Chikankari which is a traditional style of embroidery from Lucknow.

With a lot of firsts in this collection, he has also incorporated the typical Banarasi brocades on lehengas. This is been included with a view of the ongoing wedding season.
