Shah Rukh Khan responds to Aryan Khan’s premium clothing collection selling out in a day despite exorbitant costs

This week, Aryan Khan debuted his high-end streetwear line. Shah Rukh Khan responded as the album quickly sold out.

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s luxury streetwear brand has been making headlines for a while now. The father-son duo created much hype around the launch of the brand, with a commercial directed by Aryan and featuring SRK. On Sunday, the clothing brand’s limited edition collection was launched. The collection dropped jackets autographed by Shah Rukh. Though each autographed jacket was priced at Rs 2 lakh, they sold out in just a few minutes.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his Instagram story to share a post that read, “Thank you for the ride. We’re all sold out. Stay tuned for the news one.” The demands for the jackets and also the T-shirts, which were priced between Rs 25,000-Rs 47,000, were so high that website of the company crashed soon after the launch.

The brand, named Dyavol.x, also shared on their Instagram pages, “All sold out. Thank you for the ride. Special thanks to those who had the patience to handle our technical teething issues.”

Many roasted the brand on social media for its sky-high prices. However, a few Shah Rukh Khan fans debated over the price of the products. While only 30 jackets were launched, they came with SRK’s autograph. A fan wrote, “Dude this jacket is awesomeonly 30 of them have @iamsrk ‘s signature, in the second photo you can see where it will be this is really a collectible , no wonder its price is high, can you imagine wearing this with your autograph, I don’t even wash it to last more.”

Earlier talking about his brand and directing its first commercial with SRK, Aryan Khan in an interview with Bazaar, “They asked me to keep some pieces from the collection aside for them, in case it sells out. I am still considering their request.”

Aryan Khan is also all set to make his directorial debut. The young filmmaker will helm a web show titled Stardom. The six-episode series will be set against the backdrop of the film industry and has also been written by Aryan. The show is currently in its pre-production phase and is expected to go on floors later this year. It will be bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment.
