Director Mohit Suri is all set to turn his 2014 release, Ek Villain into a franchise. The filmmakers had even announced Aditya Roy Kapur and John Abraham as the lead actors for this thriller. Both Mohit and Aditya were looking forward to begin work on the film, however, they had to put it on hold given the lockdown post the outbreak of the coronavirus.
According to a source, Aditya and Mohit have been discussing the actor’s character via video-calling. The source told a leading entertainment portal, “Adi’s character will be seen in several avatars with corresponding mannerisms for each of them. The next step for him and Mohit is physical prep, for which they will draw up a fitness routine.” The source also informed that the film is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2020.
The source further added, “Adi and Mohit were to meet for reading sessions to understand the psyche of the villainous character, but now they will be working from their respective homes till the lockdown…” Well, the lockdown seems to have given the actor-director duo plenty of time to work on the character and script of the upcoming film.
