Madhuri Dixit's line from The Fame Game roasting privileged ‘young stars’ is a hit

Fans of Madhuri Dixit’s web series The Fame Game have responded to a scene in which her character, superstar Anamika Anand subtly insulted a young actor who sought her approval, implying their age gap. Madhuri is received at an event by actor Jaslyn, who is played by Pooja Bhamrrah, who lavishes compliments on her. She described herself as a passionate Anamika fan who grew up watching her films. Then, amid gasps from the photographers stationed outside, she grabbed Madhuri’s hand and placed it on her head, asking her to bless her.

“You don’t need my blessings really. You young stars these days have PR, stylists, trainers, you have everything. Actually, you don’t even need talent, let alone my blessings,” says Madhuri’s character.

“Waaah waaah waaah (wow) standing ovation to Madhuri and the writer,” remarked a fan. “Madhuri is the last of the Queens! Sorry. Uske baad sab temporary the (Everyone after her were temporary). Sri (Sridevi), Madhuri are something else,” wrote another.  “Fame Game is like Bollywood trolling itself. I like how the writers are using their creative liberties to take shots on Bollywoodwalas without taking their names LMAO,” someone commented.

Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli helm The Fame Game, which has Hindi dialogues written by Amita Vyas, Akshat Ghildial, and Shreya Bhattacharya. Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Mulay, and Muskkaan Jaferi feature in the Netflix original series.
