Kartik Aaryan to play a pilot in Hansal Mehta’s Captain India

Kartik Aaryan loves to make people laugh with his witty comments on social media is a regular thing, but now looks like his new obsession is to surprise his fans and netizens with his film announcements. This morning the actor dropped a new film announcement and it’s with none other than Hansal Mehta – the director who’s known for his gritty dramas.

The actor took to his social media and shared the poster of the film. In the poster we see Kartik in a pilot’s avatar and his head bowed down as he smartly adjusts his pilot-cap. The film is titled Captain India and the actor very proudly announces it through his caption, “When a man goes beyond the call of duty 🇮🇳 With great pride and honour, we bring to you #CaptainIndia @hansalmehta sir.” Woah! Now that’s one interesting film to watch out for.

The film will be helmed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja. Captain India is all set to revisit one of the most successful rescue operations in the history of India. The story is inspired from India’s biggest and most successful rescue missions from a war-torn country.

Kartik Aaryan who will play the lead in the film shared his thoughts and said, “Captain India is inspiring and thrilling in equal measure and it gives me great pride & honour to be a part of such a historic chapter of our country. I have immense respect for Hansal Sir’s body of work and this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with him.”

Hansal Mehta talked about the film and said “Captain India which is inspired by true events will revisit a moment in time where a man goes beyond his own pain and suffering to save thousands. I’m happy to collaborate with Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja on the film and look forward to working with Kartik.”

The actor is constantly pushing the envelope. Right from being the monologue king to shouldering some super hit films, the actor in the past few movie choices is now trying his hand at some gritty dramas that explores his acting chops. His next is Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka which yet again will show Kartik in an intense avatar and the teaser has already surprised everyone.
