A fire erupted at AIIMS in Delhi, but fortunately, there have been no casualties reported. A video captured the incident as the authorities worked to control the blaze.

AIIMS Delhi: The fire department said that the incident happened on the second-floor of the main building.

A fire broke out in the emergency ward of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, on Monday afternoon, prompting a swift response from several fire tenders. The fire department successfully brought the blaze under control within an hour of the incident.

The fire originated on the second floor of the main building, specifically in the endoscopy room. All patients in the affected area were safely evacuated from the premises.

The Delhi Fire Services received a fire call from AIIMS at 11:54 am, and they immediately dispatched 8 fire tenders to combat the fire.

As of now, the fire is under control, and search operations are ongoing, according to the DFS.

Visuals from the hospital premises showed the successful evacuation of patients to safer locations during the incident.

AIIMS, located at Sri Aurobindo Marg in Delhi’s Ansari Nagar East, is a renowned public medical research university and hospital, serving as one of the country’s most prominent government healthcare facilities. It receives approximately 30,000 patients from across the nation daily seeking medical attention.
