What is Doxxing?

The term “doxxing” is the malicious act of disclosing to the public, without permission, someone’s complete name, address, phone number, email address, social security number, or any other sensitive data. Social engineering techniques, hacking, and internet research are frequently used to gather this information. The main goals of doxxing are usually to damage, intimidate, or harass the person being targeted. In severe circumstances, it may result in bodily injury as well as identity theft, stalking, and privacy violation.
