Darlings: Anushka Sharma congratulates Alia Bhatt as she joins the actor-producer club
In case you missed it, Alia Bhatt is all set to wear the hat of a producer in her upcoming film Darlings. The film which also features Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew is a dark comedy revolving around a mother-daughter duo. After the first teaser was revealed, actress Anushka Sharma shared a congratulatory note for the first-time producer.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Anushka Sharma shared the teaser of Darlings featuring Alia Bhatt. She wrote, “Congratulations @aliabhatt on your first film as a producer” with heart emojis. Alia Bhatt responded “Thank you my dearest Anushkaaa..”
To note, Anushka Sharma has produced several films and TV shows via Clean Slate Filmz which she established with her brother Karnesh Ssharma. It’s amazing to see the actress welcome a fellow star to the actor-producer club.
Darlings is directed by Jasmeet K. Reen. It follows a mother-daughter duo finding their place in Mumbai city. The film’s cryptic teaser offered a look at the intriguing plot but the highlight was Alia Bhatt’s range of expressions.
