IPL: MI vs DC

Hardik Pandya had won the toss and chosen to bowl first earlier in the game. However, this move quickly backfired as Jake Fraser-McGurk and Jasprit Bumrah went into overdrive, smashing the Mumbai bowlers as Delhi scored 92 runs in the first six overs. After Jake was removed, Mumbai regained some of the upper hand since Abishek Porel was unable to get going. However, Shai Hope contributed a brilliant cameo of 41 runs from 17 balls to maintain the high scoring rate. Even though Rishabh Pant wasn’t playing at his best, he still managed to score some significant runs, and Delhi’s season-long excellent run came from Tristan Stubbs.

Bumrah was pounded for eighteen runs in his opening over, but he bounced back with three consecutive overs of seventeen runs. Other than him and Piyush Chawla, Luke Wood and captain Hardik Pandya both received severe punishments. Delhi led by a margin of 10 runs throughout the whole chase, and when it was getting tight, they managed to take the wickets and win the match.
