King Phillipe and Queen Mathilde arrived here on November 5 on a week-long state visit to India.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailychakra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Queen-Mathilde-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-213\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thedailychakra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Queen-Mathilde-8-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A four-member Belgium-based dance collective, is set to perform to Bollywood songs inspired by Rajasthani folk and semi-classical music as part of a cultural event to celebrate the visit of Belgian King and Queen to India.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1053\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zaanews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Mathilde-3-1-216x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zaanews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Mathilde-3-1-216x300.jpg 216w, https:\/\/www.zaanews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Mathilde-3-1.jpg 429w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 216px) 100vw, 216px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sooraj Subramaniam, Laura Neyskens, Tom Decuyper and Ayla Joncheere, who make up the group, have been invited to India by Belgian Ambassador Jan Luykx .They will perform on Wednesday night at the Ambassador\u2019s residence. Sharing details, Subramaniam said, \u201cWe are going to perform a selection of Bollywood favourites, mainly songs inspired by Rajasthani folk and semi-classical genre, giving them all our unique Belgian twist while preserving the authentic Indian flavour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the royal couple\u2019s first visit to India since King Phillipe\u2019s ascension to the throne in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Anita, whose creation was sported on Queen during one of her appearances, said \u201cI look forward to meeting her over lunch this Friday and discuss common interest issues such as women\u2019s empowerment and sustainability.
