Appointed to helm the Florence-based luxury house in 2017, Surridge was brought on to replace Peter Dundas, who held the chief designer title from 2002 to 2005, returning for a short stint in 2015 before departing in late 2016 and founding his eponymous label Dundas. According to WWD, Surridge\u2014if he hasn\u2019t already resigned\u2014is set to step down imminently following alleged conflict with the marketing and communications and design teams, with an official announcement expected to follow.
