Love to you sir.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singh, who is portraying Dev in filmmaker Kabir Khan\u2019s upcoming movie 83, said the veteran cricketer embodies \u201cstrength and resilience\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Legend @therealkapildev embodies strength and resilience. Praying for a speedy recovery of my main man,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGet well soon sir! Kapil Dev!\u201d tweeted Chadha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also wishing Dev good health were actors Riteish Deshmukh and Dipannita Sharma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWishing @therealkapildev ji a speedy recovery. Get well Soon Sir,\u201d Deshmukh said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharma tweeted, \u201cAll our prayers with you for your speediest recovery #Kapildev sir\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later in the day, Dev expressed his expressed gratitude for the concern and support extended to his family in a short statement posted on his Instagram Story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you everyone for all the love and concern. I am overwhelmed with the good wishes and well on the road to recovery,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of India\u2019s greatest cricketers, Kapil played 131 Tests and 225 ODIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the only player in cricket\u2019s history to claim over 400 wickets (434) and accumulate more than 5000 runs in Tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1983, Dev had led India to its first-ever World Cup trophy.
