The recently released Narcos Mexico is definitely not a sequel of the original narcos series.
The action shifts from Columbia to Mexico and is related to the illegal drug trade by the Guadalajra Cartel after the narration of the Medellin Cartel and the Cali Cartel. The structure and even the presentation remain the same just like the original series where the falling of the Columbian drug baron – Pablo Escobar.
Michael Peña (Ant-Man) and Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) lead the cast as the DEA agent Kiki Camarena and Guadalajara Cartel leader Félix Gallardo. The series shows the rise of Gollarrdo from a minor member of of the Sinaloa Cartel to a kingpin who effectively united the drug traffikers into an empire.
The trailer of the series is down below :-
Felix is a calm and composed man in contrast to Pablo Escobar. He is the man responsible for setting up the Guadalajara cartel. His decision to move the city of Guadalajara was because of the raids by the Mexican Army raids in Sinaloa. There was absolutely no chance for the army to carry out raids in Guadalajara since all important people lived there and the city was huge. Camarena realises things are different in Mexico. He moves against the new cartel at his own risk, making a deadly enemy in Félix.
Just like the original series, Narcos Mexico is entertaining and educating at the same time.
