Rajkummar Rao speaks about-to-be wife Patralekhaa

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have been dating for almost a decade now and are all set to get married on November 14 this year. Yesterday, the couple partook in some pre-wedding festivities and looked absolutely in love. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Rajkummar Rao opened up about how his bond with Patralekhaa strengthened during the lockdown.”I think the lockdown just gave us the time . . . because the both of us were busy shooting and I was out of the house most of the time. But this pandemic gave us the opportunity to be with each other for a really long time and I was missing that. I was missing being able to spend time with her and Gaga all alone. Of course, we did so much together just by going back to our acting school days, by watching great work together and cooking together. Just being with each other throughout, you know? It was just wonderful, wonderful days that we spent together,” he said.

On the work front, Rajkummar was last seen in Hum Do Hamare Do opposite Kriti Sanon, Ratna Pathak Shah and Paresh Rawal. “Well, this was definitely a unique idea. We always hear about people adopting kids but this was about adopting parents, which is very different. And it was a lot of fun, just reading the script and getting to work with such amazingly talented actors like Paresh Rawal, Ratna ma’am (Pathak), and Kriti and Aparshakti. I just didn’t want to miss this opportunity and grabbed it with both hands. I feel elated, of course! I won’t say that it makes me feel sad, I’m very happy if people think like that. But, you know, as long as people keep watching great content on screen, it doesn’t have to be just my films, whatever good content is out there – please support it and watch it because we can continue to make amazing films and series,” he also said.
