Tabu calls Ajay Devgn and Vishal Bharadwaj her safety nets in the industry

In a recent interview with a leading publication, Tabu opened up about the close-knit relationship she shares with Vishal Bharadwaj and Ajay Devgn. She shared that she really values the creative partnership she shares with them. The actress strongly believes that they always come to her with “work of substance”.

Sharing that Devgn and Bharadwaj were her safety net in the industry, the actress said, “Vishal and Ajay come to me with something of substance. They know me so well. They know the best and worst of me, and I know the best and worst of them.” She also added, “I think I’m in my safety net for some time until I finish these films and then I don’t know. It is like work, chill, and having fun.”

The actress, talking about the bond she shares with Vishal Bharadwaj, said, “Vishal has given me the best characters of my career. The synergy that I have with Vishal as a director is something that I have with very few directors. Even with Ajay, I have done fantastic and successful work with him, and he will never come to me with something that is not of great value.”

Speaking on her bond with Ajay Devgn, Tabu said, “The fact that we have known each other since we were like 13-years old, it’s become like family. It’s a relationship that has been there. So, when I walk on Vishal and Ajay’s sets, I feel this is my world and this is my kingdom.”

Tabu’s most notable performances on-screen have been directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. Some of them include the 2003 movie Maqbool and the 2015 movie Haider. Both movies got critical acclaim. Khufiya, the next film directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, will feature her.The movie is a spy thriller based on the novel Escape to Nowhere. She will also be seen in Kuttey, which is the filmmaker’s home production.

She has also starred in multiple movies with Ajay Devgn. These include Vijaypath, Haqeeqat, Thakshak, Drishyam, Golmaal Again, De De Pyaar De. They will next be seen in Drishyam 2 and Bholaa with the actor.

Tabu recently starred in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which was  released in the theatres today. The movie also stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Speaking about the movie with a leading publication, the actress said, “It (film) has gone through many ups and downs, speed breakers. It is a big achievement for the team to see it come to theatres. We can’t ask for more than this. I really hope it works.”
