Ram Mandir The inaugural ceremony: These states have announced a vacation on January 22nd.

Many state governments have declared a vacation for its employees on January 22, 2024, to let them to participate in the celebrations surrounding the opening of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Furthermore, the Central Government has declared a half-day for all Central Government offices and central institutions, including PSU banks.

Uttar Pradesh

Referring to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as a “rashtra utsav” (national festival), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged all educational establishments across the state to celebrate a vacation on January 22nd. He also stated that the sale of booze will be prohibited throughout the state on the day.

Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is spearheading the celebrations by proclaiming January 22 a public holiday for all government offices and educational institutions.

Goa

Goa, like Uttar Pradesh, is celebrating with a public holiday on January 22. Recognizing the widespread enthusiasm for the Ram Lalla consecration, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered the closure of government offices and schools, asking locals to celebrate the day’s joy and fervor, reminiscent of Diwali.

Chhattisgarh and Haryana have now joined in, with government officials and schools taking a holiday on January 22 to honor the ‘pran pratishtha’ event.
