Salman Ali who hails from Mewat, Haryana was delcared as the winner of Indian Idol season 10. He received a cash prize of Rs 25 Lakhs, a trophy and a Datsun Car. He managed to gather around 2 crore votes to become the winner of the show.
Apart from Salman Ali, it was Neelanjana Roy, Ankush Bharadwaj, Vibhor Parashar and Nitin Kumar who were the finalists of the show.
The finale was star studded. It noticed the presence of Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif who were there to promote their new movie Zero. The show was hosted by the all time favourite anchor Maniesh Paul. The grand finale was judged by Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Javed Ali. The show was launched in July and it successfully went on for 6 months. Towards the end, the set was inaugrated by Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Geeta Kapur who were there to promote their upcoming show Super Dancer. The finale was also graced by Kiku Sharda to promote the upcoming season of The Kapil Sharma Show.

Indian Idol and Sony Entertainment Television have given me a platform to realize my dreams and I will always be thankful. I haven’t just learned a lot but I have had the opportunity to perform with and in front of legends from this industry. And more than anything else, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude towards the audience who voted for all of us wholeheartedly.”
The top 5 contestants were given a chance to sing with renowned artists like Alka Yagnik, Suresh Wadkar, Javed Ali and Bappi Lahri.
