Ram Lalla has returned to Ayodhya after 500 years.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rites to launch the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. PM Modi conducted the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in the 84th ‘ muhurta’ and had previously participated in rites with RSS head Mohan Bhagwant. The Prime Minister visited the Ram temple a few minutes before the rites began, amidst much excitement.

Ram Lalla’s idol has been decked with gold and emerald jewels. The statue was installed in the temple last week, and his face – although with his eyes closed – was later unveiled. The scarf that covered the eyes was removed today, revealing the whole face to the public.
